i'm going to take a change of pace from my usual ranting, raving, bitching and moaning to take a minute to talk about the game of basketball.
now, let me preface this post by saying that i've spent nearly an accumulated month of time on youtube just watching basketball videos.
anyways, the game of basketball is like a symphony, or an opera.
you have heroes, you have villains. you have camaraderie and brotherhood, betrayal and rivalry.
when a team plays in sync, or a player begins to take over a game, it's literally like a cadenza in a opera. there are ebbs and flows, high notes and low notes.
if you look closely enough, the game begins to take on a rhythm, a melody. there is struggle, passion, and triumph, and also despair. there is anger and happiness.
when the game is over, people will attempt to mull over and comprehend what they just saw. they will argue about it.
it truly is the most artistic and poignant of all professional sports.
