history shall be kind to me, for i intend to write it.

on monday night, i decided to hightail it to irvine to complete my paper at the 24 hour jack in the box across the street from campus. why did i do this? i really don't know, it is just another blip amongst the maelstrom of random acts that occur in my lifetime.

since kaju had some studying to do, i scooped him up at his pad and we headed over. upon arrival at jack in the box, and after we had gotten through with our daily quota of making fun of people and talking shit about people's cars, we headed to the front door. there, we encountered an old asian lady of small stature and greyed hair sitting there on the concrete ledge of the water fountain outside of the restaurant.

i was taken aback when she solicited us for money. honestly, i really didn't know what to say. she related to us the fact that her husband had passed away. it was at this point that through a mixture of her thick accent and my own shock that her words kind of stopped making sense.

"i'm starving," she pleaded. through the bits and pieces of her confession that i could decipher, i believe that she had offered us money, something to the tune of $100,000 dollars, if we were able to help her out now because she would soon be coming into fortune from her husband's estate.

"i don't have cash," i uttered in cowardice.

"i didn't bring my wallet..." kaju followed.

"you don't have anything? two nice young boys like yourself? how come?" she probed.

the whole episode has thrown my outlook on existence into question. this lady could easily have been my grandmother, my mother, my aunt, my sister. why have i, up unto this point in life, failed? i have nothing to show for anything. life is finite, and this encounter certainly drove that point home, to me at least.

the clothes you wear mean nothing. the shoes that you walk on eventually wear away. the car you drive can't carry you to heaven. what you own does not account for what you are.

what matters is the legacy that you leave behind.

in light of these recent revelations, i have re-evaluated goals and begun, in earnest, the search for life's meaning.

ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN BLOGS.

i awoke this morning, realizing that i had spent the night previous dreaming about fantasy basketball, thus cementing my current status as a fucking LOSER.

finally, i have decided on a time frame on when i will end my ban on alcoholic consumption: when my abs are a six-pack. so...probably, i'll never drink again. shit is tough, monday was to be the reintroduction of my diet, but shit, it is really hard to stick to it. losing weight was easy as a fatshit, but it gets progressively harder down the line. your body fights you, it wants to keep those precious lipids. someone, anyone, PLEASE give me some freaking motivation. i now realize that at this point, it's no longer a one man battle.

i had promised you pictures, but my pictures always suck, so i stole steph's...these are from the weekend in the Whale's Vagina:

here i am, doing what i do best, devouring unhealthy foods..
glamorous pre-party dinner at filiberto's, he must be the cousin of alerto, alberto, and alejandro..
guest cameo by the birthday boy's nose and mouth.

standing around in the club, another forte of mine...

sorry for the longwinded blog, i'm sure a lot of its meaning will be lost in its length.
